The people behind Tynevolt

Local directors.
Working electricians.

Tynevolt combines hands-on site experience, recognised qualifications and direct accountability. The people you speak to are the people responsible for delivering the work.

Why we started Tynevolt

A better standard of electrical service

Tynevolt was founded and is jointly owned by Andrew and Glenn as equal partners, around a straightforward idea: customers deserve the same care in the communication as they do in the installation.

That means arriving prepared, explaining the options without unnecessary jargon, agreeing the work clearly and taking pride in the parts nobody sees as well as the finished result.

We work across homes, rented property, commercial premises and larger construction environments. That breadth of experience helps us understand not only how to complete the electrical work, but how to plan it around the customer, property and wider job.

As Tynevolt grows, our services will continue expanding into EV charging and smarter energy systems. The standard remains the same: done right first time.

Meet the directors

Experience you can speak to directly

Both directors are fully qualified Gold Card electricians with inspection and testing qualifications. Their wider backgrounds bring business ownership, championship-level discipline and a broader understanding of what excellent service requires.

Andrew, Tynevolt director and qualified electrician

Andrew

Director · Gold Card electrician

Andrew is a fully qualified, Gold Card electrician with formal inspection and testing and EV charge-point installation qualifications. His electrical experience spans domestic, commercial and larger-site environments, giving him a practical understanding of everything from customer-facing work to complex project delivery.

Before becoming an electrician, Andrew built and ran a clothing company. That experience adds commercial judgement, organisation and a strong understanding of customer expectations. He brings the same ownership mentality to Tynevolt: communicate clearly, protect the company’s reputation and make sure the finished work is something the customer—and the business—can be proud of.

Glenn, Tynevolt director and qualified electrician

Glenn

Director · Gold Card electrician

Glenn is a fully qualified, Gold Card electrician with more than 12 years of hands-on experience and a formal inspection and testing qualification. His background covers domestic, commercial and industrial work, including projects delivered around the country. He brings deep practical knowledge of installation, fault-finding and site delivery, with the experience to anticipate problems and find sensible solutions before they affect the job.

Glenn is also a national fly-fishing champion. Reaching that level demands patience, preparation, precision and the ability to perform under pressure. Those qualities carry directly into his work: careful planning, close attention to detail and a determination to achieve the right result rather than settle for “good enough.”

How we work together

Two directors. One agreed standard.

Andrew and Glenn bring complementary strengths, but customers should experience one consistent Tynevolt service—clear scope, respectful working, appropriate testing and ownership through to completion.
